Welcome to Transmit.TV. This site started as a single page created for personal use, which quickly developed a following when it was liked from MB21. In response to the many users who have requested information which was not available in the old format, the data has been moved into a database for more flexibility.
All the data in the Transmit.TV database come from publicly available sources - mainly Ofcom and the BBC. It is not updated regularly, however you're welcome to point out glaring errors using the feedback page. It's quite time consuming to find changes in these data sources so the site is probably overdue for a big update (especially in active sectors like DAB and community radio). If you have a few hours to spare and would be interested in supplying a full list of updates required, I'd be be happy to hear from you.
In response to the feedback from a consultation, the UK government announced that a package of Ordnance Survey data sets would be released for free use and re-use from 1 April 2010. On 2 April 2010, the Code-Point® Open dataset was integrated into Transmit.tv to finally allow searching by postcode.
